What data Kwikbet Kenya collects and why

When you register, the platform collects your full name, Kenyan phone number, email address and date of birth. This data is required under BCLB compliance rules for identity verification and to prevent underage gambling. Players who deposit above 10,000 KES per transaction are asked to submit a copy of their national ID or passport as part of the KYC process.

Transaction data, including deposit amounts in KES, withdrawal requests, payment method used and timestamps, is recorded for every financial event on your account. This information is retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by Kenyan anti-money laundering regulations. Who your data is shared with

Kwikbet Kenya does not sell personal data to third parties. Data is shared only with parties that have a direct operational or legal need. Payment processors such as Safaricom M-Pesa, Telkom T-Kash and Equity Equitel Money receive transaction-level data to process deposits and withdrawals. These processors operate under their own data protection obligations and are not permitted to use your data for any other purpose.

Game providers including Pragmatic Play, Evolution and Spribe receive anonymised session data for game integrity verification. Your name and phone number are never passed to game providers. The BCLB, as the regulatory body under Cap 131, may request account and transaction data during audits or investigations. Kwikbet Kenya is legally obligated to comply with such requests within the timeframes set by the board.

If you opt in to marketing communications, your contact preferences are stored internally and are not shared with advertising networks. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time via account settings, which takes effect within 48 hours for email and 24 hours for SMS.

Your rights over your personal data

As a player based in Kenya, you have the right to request a copy of all personal data held on your account. Requests are processed within 30 days. You can also request correction of inaccurate data or deletion of data that is no longer required, though deletion requests may be limited where retention is required by BCLB or AML regulations.

To submit a data request, contact support via live chat or email with your account phone number and a description of the request. The support team handles data queries separately from general account queries and escalates to the compliance team within 2 business days. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can escalate the complaint to the BCLB after the internal process is completed.

Cookies on the site are used for session management, fraud detection and, if you consent, analytics. You can manage cookie preferences via the consent banner on first visit or through your browser settings at any time. Disabling session cookies will prevent login from functioning correctly.
